Removing a wall opened up a fabulous space in this traditional home for a timeless and elegant shaker style kitchen to take centre stage.
We suggested closing over an existing press cupboard and making the wall flush to allow an L-shape configuration of the furniture coming round to the existing AGA and include an Island. This also allowed the cooking area to have a more central feel on the wall and create a focal point with a large Mantle.
The layout is as practical as it is beautiful. Appliances and small kitchen gadgets were meant to be hidden and are concealed behind tall and counter cabinets.
Storage is in abundance which includes bespoke pull out spice and bottle holders in the AGA mantle pillars.
To complete the look, a fireplace shelf with co-ordinating corbel supports sits above the wood burning stove.
