A new extension to a traditional stone built property which would provide light through double bi-fold doors and roof cupolas needed a kitchen which would be accessible as part of a kitchen/diner/comfy seating space but, be completely functional for the family with good sized appliances and storage.
DESIGN
Cabinetry in deep blue contrasts to great effect with gleaming white work surfaces and is complemented by soft grey at the peninsula and storage piece. The Everhot in gleaming white provides for great cooking and teamed with bags of storage and an American style fridge freezer provide for a truly functional kitchen space. The drop down section was designed for the young chef in the family to try her hand at pastry making with mum while the sweep on the peninsula at the opposite end provides a coffee area for serving up that speciality flat white. The 90mm deep worktops on the peninsula give a modern feel to the traditionally made cabinets and makes a good statement at the seated area. The overall look of this kitchen is completed by the details of orange and copper accents.
