Some would say that the utility and laundry are the most practical rooms in the house. They are always designed to fit their purpose but with the right ideas and vision they can also be stunning.
There are many space saving and visual solutions that can be applied.
1. Re-arrange your laundry strategy
Who says that your washing machine and tumble dryer must sit, arm to arm, on the floor.
By positioning your tumble dryer on top of your washing machine not only you create more floor space but you can hide them away behind a cabinet door.
This can be achieved with smart cabinetry built to fit your machines. Additional shelves for detergents etc would help to keep the area organised.
If your utility room is on display, an island or peninsula would divide the space and help to hide what you don't want to be on show.
3. Drying laundry
As some fabric are too delicate for tumble drying you can incorporate a dryer into the space.
Ceiling airers are still a solution but, if you prefer a smaller more compact design opt for a wall dryer.
